Losing Kids Attention?
After a long day at school/day-care kids can become hangry and tired. Not to mention, parents coming home from a brutal day at work may looking for some peace and quite (that never comes).
Unfortunately, with all of us so busy and tired sometimes we lose sight of how valuable our kids attention really is!
Here's a little strategy that could help the after school routine and regain that communication:
- After school snack-n-read
- Gather their favorite book and have a little quick snack prepared (may take some pre-planning but you get the idea). As the kiddos are snacking, read their favorite stories!
Once the stories are done, this is a great time to ask them about their day. Who knows what the conversations will lead to; from the president, about weather, or even talking about farts!
